How does PlayerShots Photography work?
We can work with a league to shoot team, individual and action shots,
or we can work at the request of team and/or individual players. Note
that to shoot sports action of a team or individual, we will need to
determine if another photographer has an exclusive right to
photograph the event and sell pictures. We will respect the rights
of photographers that hold exclusive right for action shots.
Generally a team or individual can request that we provide team and
individual posed photography without incurring issues with a contract.
These photos will normally need to be done at a site other than your
normal game site. You can contact us for more information. Note that
it is not our normal policy to actively seek out team and individual posed
photo assignments where another photographer owns the contract with
the league. If you have not been satisfied with the efforts or results
from another photographer, contact us and we can discuss how we might be
able to assist you.
If we are covering an individual team or player(s), we
will strive to have the photos online for viewing within 72 hours
of the event. We can notify the coach or individual parents
as needed.
Note that PlayerShots LLC also had Photoshop capability on staff and we
have our own matting and framing capability. If schedule permits, we can
also provide custom services. Contact us for more information on your
specific request.

Are my photos processed locally?
We strive to utilize local vendors for our needs wherever
possible. We strongly believe in supporting the local
Kansas City community. The primary photo lab we utilize
is locally owned and operated. Where possible, we avoid
sending your sons and daughters photos out of the area
for processing. In some cases the products cannot be
found locally and we must use vendors that are outside
of the area.

do not currently have the ability to process Credit Cards via the

my
event picture button" (or click HERE) to view and select pictures
from

and attendees at the event if requested.

How will the pictures look?
Your photos are taken with a Professional Quality Canon
Digital Camera. Un-cropped photos can be enlarged up
to 16 x 20 or larger. In some cases we will pre-crop
the photo to highlight an individual player. The size
of end photo in these cases will vary.
Note that 8x10's and 16x20's may have to be cropped
in order get the print without white borders on the top or sides.
If the photo you select contains an image of a person that
fills the frame, you may loose some of the person to
achieve an 8x10 and 16x20. This is because the ratio of width to
length will vary for different picture sizes. The 8x10 and 16x20
are the most prone to this issue. We always do our best
to ensure that the image is the finest possible. Generally
other print sizes can be resized with no cropping issues.
If the photo you choose does have wasted
space on the top/bottom, and sides, we generally will crop
to produce a better image. Most images are left as is on
the web so they can be modified to fit as many print sizes
as possible.

How are the photos printed?
Your photos will be processed on professional Fuji paper by a lab
in Overland Park. This lab does work for many of the best
wedding photographers in the Kansas City area. Only the highest
quality processes and materials are used. Note that some
specialty items may be processed by labs outside of the Kansas
City area due to product availability.
Unless the event requires instant photos (birthday parties at a
venue) the photos will NOT be printed with an ink jet printer!
Your photos are guaranteed for 50 years against any fading.
With reasonable care, they should last much longer than
50 years. Beware of photographers that utilize ink jet printing.
While there are some top end ink jets that claim 50 or 100
year life, only the tried and true development method can
prove it. We won't gamble on your treasured photos, and
neither should you.
You should also know that some labs use inferior quality
paper and developing methods to save costs. You will not
get the same archival quality from your local 1 hour lab, as
you will from a professional lab. Years from now, when your
children have their children, they will appreciate the extra
effort and professional quality of our developing methods.

How can I get you to shoot our game?
Contact us at info@playershots.com
or via the "Contact Us"
link on the menu. You can request photo coverage by
providing your team name, coach contact info, sport, and

if another photographer shoots the team shots (stills) for the league,
we can usually do these for you. Generally our prices will
be less expensive than the league photographer. Contact
us and we will provide you with pricing details. Note: In this
situation, we may need to select a field location
other than the fields that you play on.

Why have you only done one game the entire season?
If we shoot one game and no parents are interested
